Tour La Vega - Se Cocina
Visiting La Vega, harvesting the orchard and tasting our cuisine.
1- La Vega, our historic central market.
This tour starts by visiting one of the most antique and historical places of Santiago, which since the mid 19th century embraced a copious quantity of Santiago’s population, and its objective was to supply the people of Santiago with fresh products.
This has been fulfilled until today, offering a great variety of fresh products from different regions of Chile.
After purchasing the raw materials necessary to create the day menu (that changes every day), tourists will be transported to our restaurant to participate alongside our chefs in the preparation of unique Chilean recipes. SE COCINA Taller Restorán is located in Chicureo, a rural zone of Santiago, 25 minutes away from Providencia.
2- Se Cocina, discovering and cooking Chilean unique recipes.
Our open kitchen is essential to the experience we deliver, thus situated in the main area of the restaurant, to facilitate the participation of our visitors in the preparation of our dishes under the slow cooked concept.
Whilst preparing the meal, our guests will be able to sample a variety of preparations from “sopaipillas” to our own brew, among other appetizers.
An introduction to classic, contemporary and historical Chilean cuisine will be provided.
Visitors will have the opportunity to harvest greens from our orchards and vegetable patches to accompany the dishes prepared.
Finally, they will be able to enjoy their own preparations of a typical Chilean lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. Our guests will enjoy the Menu with beverages and a selection of Chile’s most famous wines.
